Mike Philbin is a senior vice president in Northmarq’s West region and co-founder of the firm’s National Restaurant Group. He has 20+ years of real estate investment sales experience, as well as private equity M&A and sale-leaseback acquisition experience. Mike focuses exclusively on restaurant net-leased sales and acquisitions throughout the United States, including build-to-suit and ground-lease sales, sale-leasebacks, portfolio management and sales, and restaurant operations mergers and acquisitions. He has a voluminous track record with developers, operators, private equity groups, REITs, family offices, and private investors. Mike has handled large portfolio sales for major franchisors and has been involved in funding large operational portfolios, both franchisee-to-franchisee and franchisor-to-franchisee. He has guided numerous franchisees in their brand exits and franchisors in re-franchising markets across the country. He takes particular pride in helping developer clients structure restaurant leases and guide their exit from the development. Mike has transacted over $2 billion in real estate investment sales over his career. Mike holds a B.S. in finance from San Diego State University. Mike is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He is also involved in local charitable efforts through the Scripps Ranch Old Pros in providing scholarships and funding youth sports initiatives.
